Bar Paniek is a an absolute amazing place, located on a boat in the Bonapartedok near the MAS. It actually is a part of a big art project by Timecircus to support sustainable living. The boat is covered in plants and even has a greenhouse where you can sit and enjoy a bio lemonade. You can also sit outside with the chickens who live on the boat. But no matter where you sit, you’re always surounded by plants and the Schelde. And the best part, almost everything you see on the boat is environmentally friendly. When you set foot on this boat, you enter a fantastic, inspiring world of sustainable living. So go have a drink in Bar Paniek and be inspired to live an environmentally friendly lifestyle!
The Shack is a new baggel and coffee house near the MAS. The thing I love about the Shack is their focus on bagels, because this is not a common concept in Antwerp. For those who do not know what a bagel is, here is some help from Wikipedia:
A bagel (also spelledbeigel) is a bread product, traditionally shaped by hand into the form of a ring from yeastedwheat dough, roughly hand-sized, which is first boiled for a short time in water and then baked.
They have a lot of different bagels to choose from, and they’re all served with chips and a dip. But if your not that hungry, you can just have a coffee with a muffin or cookie.
